Join us in shaping the future of pharmaceutical retail!
We are seeking innovative partners worldwide.
Within the Arco-Verde project company, our team spent years developing a revolutionary retail distribution system for medicines, OTC and RX products, dietary supplements and vitamins.
Extensive market research into medicine consumption revealed evolving consumer behaviours and needs. We forged a novel distribution system that blends the advantages of online sales with the convenience of vending machines, designed in strict adherence to EU pharmaceutical distribution directives.
From these endeavours was born the world's first intelligent mini pharmacy system: SOS Pharmatic®.
We believe every stakeholder along the distribution chain wins with our system. Everyone gets what they need, when they urgently need it, wherever they are. A compelling facet of this innovation is its potential to serve, economically, the more than 1,600 small Hungarian municipalities currently underserved by traditional pharmacies.
About the Hungarian market
- Our system has reached TRL 8, and the next step is a pilot of 50-100 machines.
- Through a call center campaign we contacted 500 Hungarian municipalities without regular pharmacy services. Following the successful outreach we received more than 100 written letters of intent from municipal notaries who await the deployment of our system.
- We established contact with pharmaceutical distributors at both wholesale and retail level. They too welcomed a solution that provides professional, remotely supervised medicine supply to these municipalities around the clock.
- We initiated a review of the current pharmaceutical distribution law with the Ministry of Health, to enable remotely supervised vending machine distribution at least for these underserved municipalities.
The EU and international markets
- Transparent, unified digital healthcare development is a top priority across the EU.
- In several EU countries, OTC medicines (and to a limited extent RX medicines) can already be sold from vending machines. The Netherlands leads with around 400 pharmacy vending machines built into pharmacy walls; in Italy, Austria and Spain OTC products and dietary supplements may be sold from machines.
- We primarily target locations with a burning need, places where a traditional pharmacy is not economical to operate. Italy, Portugal, Spain and France have even more such municipalities than Hungary. Machines at busy locations (railway stations, airports, gas stations) also serve travellers well.
- There is interest in the system in other parts of the world too: we have held negotiations in India and the Middle East. The machines can be adapted to any country's pharmaceutical market and legal framework.
Who are we looking for?
We welcome companies possessing distribution rights for OTC and/or RX products, equipped with the infrastructure required to launch in various towns. Our goal is a 50-machine pilot, primarily on the Hungarian market, but we are open to a foreign test market as well.
Our team is delighted to provide comprehensive insights into our system and the host of benefits it entails. For any queries, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely,
the SOS Pharmatic® team
